Meet Our Veterinary Team
Dr. Bonnie Cline
Dr. Cline graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She began her veterinary career as a mixed animal practitioner in Franklin, Virginia. After several years of working in the States, Dr. Cline moved to Southern Africa, where she worked as both a veterinarian and a professor at the University of North West. Dr. Cline returned to the States, married a wonderful man, and spent a year working and traveling throughout Africa and Australia. She is now attending continuing education courses for abdominal and cardiac ultrasonography. Dr. Cline enjoys traveling, most outdoor activities, and raising her two beautiful children, Caleb and Sarah.
Dr. Tom Haney
Dr. Haney graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (VA Tech) in 1996. He started his veterinary career as a mixed animal practitioner in rural Dinwiddie County, Virginia. After getting married, he and his wife spent a year traveling and working throughout Africa and Australia. Dr. Haney joined Bon Air Animal Hospital full-time in 2005. His interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, and general internal medicine. When not working, Dr. Haney enjoys spending time with his wife, Bonnie, and their two children, Caleb and Sarah. He enjoys running, fly-fishing, scuba diving, and just about any outdoor activity.
Dr. Lauren Knott
Dr. Knott graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. After practicing in Winston-Salem, NC for a few years, Dr. Knott is excited to be back in her hometown of Richmond, VA. She has a special interest in preventive and geriatric care, and is passionate about the human-animal bond. Bon Air Animal Hospital holds a special place for Dr. Knott, as she worked here as an assistant in high school and interned here during veterinary school. Dr. Knott shares her home with her husband Daniel, their dog Harlowe and their cat Mo. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Knott enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants around Richmond, and Virginia Tech football (Go Hokies!).
Dr. Daniel Sharp
Dr. Daniel Sharp earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019 after completing his BS in Biology at William & Mary. He practiced in southwest Virginia before relocating to Richmond in 2023.
Dr. Sharp enjoys the variety and relationships that come with general practice and has special interests in feline medicine, ultrasonography, and surgery. He is passionate about providing thoughtful, well-rounded care to his patients.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Sharp loves exploring Richmond with his wife, Ella, and spending time with their dog and two cats. He also enjoys biking, running, hiking, and playing guitar and writing music.
Dr. Deidre O'Malley
Dr. O'Malley is a transplant from Florida where she worked with the Tampa Bay Humane Society as a surgeon and internal medicine shelter veterinarian. She attended Ross University and NC State to obtain a DVM degree as well as the University of Florida for a Master's Certificate in Shelter Medicine. Additionally, her interest in Integrative medicine was acquired while attending the Chi Institute in Redding, Florida.
Dr. O'Malley brings a dedicated interest in senior pet pain mitigation utilizing both Western (cold laser therapy, medications) and Eastern (acupuncture) modalities.
Dr. O'Malley's other interests include gardening, hiking, golf, and spoiling the grand nephew and nieces.
Dr. Bianca Mower
Dr. Mower is delighted to be part of the wonderful team here at Bon Air Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian. She is a graduate of St. George's University in Grenada, and is originally from the Newport News area of Virginia.
She and her husband moved to Richmond with their sweet dog, Kia, and their cuddly cat, Goose. As a child, she dreamt of becoming a veterinarian because of her love for animals. Now she is excited to build relationships with people to promote their pet's health and their special bond with their animals.
Outside of the clinic she enjoys arts and crafts, especially tie-dyeing shirts with family and friends. She loves the endless combinations of colors and patterns and the opportunity to express her creativity with her loved ones.
